A McCain presidency would mean electric cars powered by nuclear plants, clean coal {Autoblog Green}
Jun 19th 2008 6:39PM I like the idea of Nuclear, Wind and Solar. The thing I don't like about Wind and Solar is the vast amount of area needed to make these solutions viable. If installed in the capacity needed to carry major loads of our energy needs, it would dramatically increase our attack surface which would in turn make it a lot easier for enemies (both foreign and domestic) to wreak havoc on our power grid.
Acres of a Nuclear electricity plant is difficult enough to defend, much less thousands of acres of wind turbines and/or solar panels.
