Aug 28th 2008 3:53PM good thing I just got my USGlobalSat BU-353 last week! It sports that III chipset!! By the way, that chipset is absolutely amazing. If I remember correctly it uses normal GPS, Aviation GPS, and cell towers. I haven't lost signal on it yet!

Sprint AIRAVE review {Engadget Mobile}
Aug 13th 2008 4:32PM Thanks for the comments, I'm always happy to hear other ideas. Even happier to hear those that are not degrading. But I guess I was looking at it from the 50,000 ft view that you could just send through GPS fixes at some point in the chain: like rs-232 strings with a full fix. But if the whole setup is embedded in the motherboard, it would be pretty extensive to spoof all the signals.
BTW, most PHDs I know (not pizza hut delivery) are more friendly than you.
Sprint AIRAVE review {Engadget Mobile}
Aug 13th 2008 10:49AM Maybe it's just the EE in me, but I think it will be pretty easy to hack the GPS and give it fake coordinates. You'd just have to hope that the Sprint server doesn't try to locate the country your IP is coming from.

Microsoft gets official with the Vista Media Center TV Pack {Engadget HD}
Aug 8th 2008 4:35PM There may or may not be a torrent of it out there..... But honestly, what really matters to me is what hardware it is compatible with. That could explain their OEM support only. No sense in making it public, if people are going to need to get new hardware. So I can understand their point of view (only a little bit)
