REPORT: Jeep Wrangler safe from CARB "Cool Cars" proposal {Autoblog}
Oct 26th 2009 12:54AM Lets hope manufacturers only keep these updated window regulations in the state of CA. What about those of us that live in northern states? We welcome as much free head from the sun as possible during the winter months. I sure dont want to block out heat from entering my car, then i'll just have to crank up the heat more instead! Its a bogus regulation.

Ask Engadget: What's the best business phone out there? {Engadget}
Sep 25th 2009 4:48PM I have used a lot of smartphone platforms. Specifically as a business phone the best you can get would be a Windows Mobile phone. Touch Pro2 or Touch Pro/AT&T Fuze. I had the predecessor to the Touch Pro with Sprint and that would be the HTC Mogul. While a good phone, it was lacking in RAM and opening a few applications really slowed it down. The Touch Pro and Touch Pro 2 have definitely improved upon that aspect.
Windows Mobile gives you Unique features such as the ability to edit, create, and save Word and Excel documents without changing the formattting. Microsoft also has support for an Office Communicator Mobile application that you can download if your company uses that. Windows Mobile also has the best support for Microsoft Exchange (It uses Outlook of course).
While the Blackberry is great for email, your company must have a Blackberry Enterprise Server if you want all the wonderful features that a Blackberry has for email. As far as my experience goes, Blackberry excels in one area, email. It skimps on everything else.
Iphone sucks for Multitasking....I have an iPod touch 2nd gen; and while that is great for music, games, etc. it sucks with multitasking. I currently have the Pre and it can multi-task circles around an iPhone. It sure is nice to have email, SMS, web browser, contacts, all open at the same time. However; you said you wanted something with good battery life, and the Pre with the stock battery is not that great. You would have to get an extended battery for it. The keyboard is very nice once you get used to it, but nowhere near as nice as a Blackberry keyboard or the keyboard on the HTC devices with a horizontal sliding keyboard.
Although Windows Mobile may have a few glitchy issues and memory leaks here and there (hopefully Windows Mobile 6.5 fixes a lot of these issues) Windows Mobile was designed to be a business phone and it is definitely purpose built for that.
As there are pro's and con's to every platform; I would say for your needs the most well-rounded do-everything business phone would have to be a windows mobile phone such as the Touch Pro, or Touch Pro2.
My two cents...

Sep 16th 2009 7:08PM You still have to rely on good ol trusty sneakernet to actually get the other half of the device to the remote machine. -1 for convenience, +1 for ease of use I guess. Might cater to a select small group of people.
