Entelligence: Netbooks, R.I.P. {Engadget}

Jun 23rd 2009 4:20PM Obviously your missing the point of the netbook. Also look at M$ and their hold on the HW specs for netbooks. Thats why they aren't advancing. Once Windows 7 comes out in Oct, the netbooks then will be better than netbooks now.

The reason why you can get better hardware now for the same price as what a Eee $G Surf cost is because people are buying netbooks and making them cheaper for the rest of us.

BTW, I have an Eee 8G with BackTrack [Linux] on it. You don't need windows.

Apple digs into Microsoft at WWDC {Engadget}

Jun 8th 2009 11:08PM @curtisrutland: Nice job, hit the nail on the head a few times there!

If Microsoft controlled the hardware like Apple did, then it would be a fair comparison. Its like saying I have an engine that'll fit any car in the world, only it has some small issues. But the other guy that can only put his engine in one car is bashing the guy that can fit his in any car.

I don't have respect for Apple and this just adds to the list for me. I hope that Apple receives a lot of bad press over this and changes their ways.

Jun 6th 2009 11:26PM Time for Linux to become as used friendly as Windows. Get away from M$ and then we can finally have some frickin advance in technology. I'm surprised M$ hasn't been sued for holding back the advancement of technology. Why should we have to have a 10 year old graphics card in a new netbook. F* M$ and their horsesh*t!!!!

Apr 28th 2009 6:36PM I don't think that anything that uses batteries is the answer. What happens when those batteries no longer hold a charge in the coming years? Those don't recycle too nice.

Same with all the Prius's on the road. I think we need to pass on any technology that relies on something that is going to have to be thrown away such as batteries.

Lets move to fuel cell. Then I will trade in my V8 in my American SUV.
