Jun 15th 2009 12:47PM I'm glad you brought it up. I have heard that translator stations serving remote communities are not required to switch of their analog broadcasts yet, and don't have a switchover deadline yet. I still have questions:
-Translators used to translate the analog signal from the main station to rebroadcast to serve the local area, are they now converting the main digital signal to analog or do they no longer have a source signal to work with?
-IF translators continue to broadcast in the old analog spectrum, how will that spectrum be re-assigned for use by wireless companies etc. without interference?

May 13th 2009 8:31PM Ummm, Drybonz, the 5 GB refers to total monthly data usage, not the data speed.
Speeds around 1.5 MBPS are really good for real-world EVDO.
