X-SIM II claims to unlock some iPhones, looks way sketchy {Engadget Mobile}

Jan 5th 2008 9:19PM Let me be the first to post on this SIM Unlock type product. I purchased this exact same SIM solution and was saddened to find out that my $50 +$20 Shipping was wasted as it did NOT unlock my iPhone 1.1.2 OTB.

I tried it about 20 times with one successful call made (mind you my phone never showed T-Mobile it said No Service) but the call was able to be made once, and then wouldn't work anymore. Upon ejecting the SIM card combo about the 20th time the card got stuck and crumpled rendering it certainly unusable.

After returning to the eBay listing that I purchased this SIM solution from I found about 4 new NEGATIVE comments saying that the SIM card didn't work for them and that the buyer would not answer their emails.

After this fiasco, I purchased a StealthSIM and upon the first entry into the iPhone it worked flawlessly.
