Cranberry DiamonDisc: the $35 DVD that'll last longer than your ghost {Engadget}

Nov 14th 2009 1:14PM I'm sure no one will have a DVD drive in even 20 years, but by then scanners (or whatever replaces them) will probably be able to read a dvd by imaging it.

AT&T responds to Verizon's 3G ad campaign -- by bragging about EDGE {Engadget}

Nov 12th 2009 7:32PM More proof that 3G is a bag of hurt. Good job protecting us from information overload, Stevie J!

CE-Oh no he didn't! Part XLV: Symbian's Lee Williams rips into Android, implies Google is evil (video) {Engadget}

Oct 26th 2009 9:17AM A couple comments on the post:
1. How is Google supposed to get 100K of value per year out of an Andriod user? Even presuming they take full advantage of advertising to you based on your private data, your value to them would be about the commission they would earn on sales made possible by thier ad serving - in other words, a few percent of the money you spend on stuff you see on thier ads.

2. My Nokia E61 was advertised as supporting VPN. After trying to get it to work, it turns out that it only supports it if you buy a multi-thousand dollar license for Nokia's proprietary VPN server which needs to be installed on your corporate network.

Apple welcomes Windows 7 the only way it knows how, with a new commercial (video, updated) {Engadget}

Oct 23rd 2009 7:55AM The irony is that Windows 95 (which Apple scorns in this ad) was far superior to MacOS at the time. I was a Mac user in the early 90's and gladly switched to Windows when 95 came out.

Verizon asks 'if the iDoesn't, what does?' {Engadget}

Oct 17th 2009 3:19PM Apple will probably sue them for using a lower case i in front of a word.

GSM Palm Pre to launch on Telcel in Mexico, feature storage expansion? {Engadget}

Oct 8th 2009 9:58PM Agreed, the original excuse that microSD wouldn't fit was incredibly lame. If I wanted to be treated like an idiot by my cell phone manufacturer, I would have bought an iPhone.

Logitech Squeezebox Radio unboxing {Engadget}

Oct 2nd 2009 10:42AM Yes, at 192kpbs. It has a huge collection of radio stations.

Logitech Squeezebox Radio unboxing {Engadget}

Oct 2nd 2009 10:38AM This is good for a bedside radio/alarm clock. I have the Boom, and while it is very nice it is a little big for a bedside table and having a color screen is a nice feature for some people.

It is also good as a take-around-the-house-and-patio radio if you buy the optional battery pack.

Best Buy bringing value priced all-in-one 32-inch LCD & Blu-ray HDTV to stores "soon" {Engadget}

Sep 23rd 2009 8:01PM Any cheap integrated disc player will be a POS. It is guaranteed that within two years these bluray players will be broken or skipping.

Apple, Palm hear privately from USB-IF on iTunes spat, involvement unlikely (update: the Forum's not pleased) {Engadget}

Sep 23rd 2009 9:34AM I couldn't care less about iTunes - I find drag-and-drop easy enough. However this sounds like this decision is setting some precidents that may not work out well for Apple. For intance, Microsoft is launching it's new ZuneHD. How about blocking all Apple devices from connecting to Windows to go along with the Zune launch?
