So pointing me to some cartoony apple site prove what to me? China is a perfect place for a business to hide all sorts of shenanigans and the only way to have full disclosure of your manufacturing methods and purported environmental process is to have it done here in the USA where corporations are held to a high standard (when enforced of course). If apple is in fact doing everything as green as can be done, great....but it looks fishy as they do it in China...renowned for being a horrible country in terms of caring about the environment.
What other reasons are there to have the manufacturing in China? Cheap labor? Hide from taxation and regulation? Im sorry if I don't see Apple as altruistically as others.
I own 2 macbooks and 4 iPhones so please spare me the PC fanboi critcism. I just believe they are being green snob hypocrites in this story because the very legislation Apple supports has no encouragement, like say, China, to also have the same sort of regulations limiting CO2 emissions.
So while businesses in the USA who manufacture stuff get penalized like crazy for having the gaul to release CO2, Apple skips along sanctimoniously criticizing and leaving the very organization that has small business in mind.... Small business is what powers our economy, not Apple.
Let me step off my soapbox before i get pelted with tomatoes.

Bring those plants to the good ole USA and you will then wrestle with unions, overzealous govt regulations regarding CO2 emissions and huge taxes...
But Apple is "green".
