they didnt know this before todays press release, when you payed full price on the 2giphone it puts you on 2yr contract but eligiblity is still good.

any 2g iphone owner is still eligible for the $199 price because you payed full price last time it doesnt affect your eligibility.
and the early upgrade is for people not eligible for the upgrade
