Samsung Omnia 2 pre-order page now live, tempting you with debt {Engadget Mobile}

Sep 2nd 2009 1:42AM Jezz you guys are getting ripped off. I sell the Omnia 2 here in Australia for $845 outright which converts to $703 US. And gaswalla, what do you mean no warranty, the warranty is supplied by the manufacturer so your statement makes no sense!

SPOT intros refreshed, smaller Satellite GPS Messenger {Engadget}

Jul 23rd 2009 1:16AM Herbie555, you’re kidding right? Have you ever even looked at a coverage map for the SPOT device? I have used one extensively in Australia and last year took one hiking through the jungles of Cambodia and Northern Thailand where they said there was no coverage but still worked fine. It is never supposed to replace a PLB or the like but what happens if your driving across the Nullarbor Plain and you get a flat tyre or you take the tinnie out fishing and you run out of fuel or your motor dies, are you going to be happy for Emergency services to bill you for a rescue cause you really didn't need one!

Oh, by the way: July 14, 2009 {Engadget Mobile}

Jul 15th 2009 8:14PM I can believe your saying the LG 5500 is a good deal at $154 without contract. You can get the Nokia 2760 with VGA camera and Bluetooth without contract here in Australia for $79 which is about $63 US, jezz you guys are getting screwed on handset prices!

Chevy Camaro evidently nabs Microsoft Zune support {Engadget}

May 12th 2009 8:33PM Why the hell would they put Zune support in cars coming to Australia when the Zune is not even sold here? Even if they did decide to release the Zune in Australia it would only be a case of Microsoft pushing shit up hill.

Leaked AT&T doc slams the Palm Pre {Engadget Mobile}

Nokia 5800 launching in North American flavor this month for $399? {Engadget Mobile}

Feb 10th 2009 7:45PM We just got advised yesterday of the pricing here in Australia, $979 RRP. That's just under $650 US, I think someone is lining their pockets fairly well.

Bell Canada setting the table for Palm's Centro? {Engadget Mobile}

Jan 26th 2009 7:50PM $199 on a three year contract, they can't be serious. Telstra, here in Australia were offering this handset pre-paid for $179 AU which is about $118.50 US. I knew Canadians were grabbing their ankles with 3 year contracts but this is ridiculous!
