May 20th 2009 2:10PM i still dont reply understand why they need to shed dealers. chrysler doesn't own them, and if they're still profitable, who cares? the money losers shutdown naturally and that doesn't cost chrysler money.
i know toyota sells way more cars per dealer, but again, who cares? this will only result in less cars sold overall.

in all honestly, i suspect they've turned down the offer because of the stipulations likely attatched to it... ie keeping jobs in canada. this keeps GM more flexible to dump canadian jobs =(
