Buffalo ships world's first USB 3.0 hard disk drives this month {Engadget}

You mean like Apple backing display port which is it is now the defacto display plug standard, right? Oh wait, display port is hardly used by most of the industry - at all. While 95%+/- of current production display devices have HDMI, Apple goes for the obscure display port.Or while Blu-Ray gets wide acceptance as a storage medium, Apple sees it as a "bag of hurt" (which with Sony's Apple-esque control on the licensing aspect, I can kind of understand, though hes hurting possible sales of Pixar & Disney movies), which is nothing new on Apples part. They changed their mini-DVI plug with each redesign so you had to buy a new adapter. Hopefully Apple won't also see USB3 as a "bag of hurt" or I know a lot of video jockeys & storage freaks who will start seeing Apple as a "bag of a**".

Closing Game Crazy stores begin clearance sales this weekend [update] {Joystiq}

Video hands-on: PSP Go {Joystiq}

Sep 29th 2009 11:28AM Sleeker? Really? Honestly PSPgo looks much more toyish than the DSi. DSi looks more like an adult device than than the go. The go does look more "refined" than the PSP but its a game device, no biggie to me.

You're right, but there are many people who buy a TV & don't want a sound system (older folks, bedroom TV, kids room TV, etc). But as I've noticed, the quality of most flat panel speakers is dismal. If this produces good sound & volume it would be welcomed.

Video: Obscura Digital shows off CueLight 'interactive' pool table {Engadget}

Sep 24th 2009 11:38AM Meh, prefer the green felt. Now, if the could do a geometry/physics overly showing you the path of the ball based on where your holding your cue, where the cue ball will hit the other ball & other useful things (the water effect was quite annoying/distracting) then you could have something worthwhile.

HDI concocts 100-inch laser-based 3D HDTV, calls rivaling technology child's play {Engadget}

Sep 17th 2009 10:09AM Really, unless games make a good use of 3D, I can't really see myself needing or really wanting a "3D" set. Give me crisp & clear image with great color depth & I am happy.

PS3's new 3D mode captured on video, coming in 2010 to all existing games {Engadget}

Sep 4th 2009 7:59PM No, the editor meant 200MHz. 60 is common & 120 is pretty good, but if you want to run crisp "3D" its much better to have more MHz. How long ago did you buy this TV? Is it flat panel or is it CRT? 20 is pretty low. I think this could be cool for games but really, what I have seen in theaters is not worth it. Just wasted money for me. We need to get back to story writing with solid characters & good story lines. Many movies today are suffering for too much CG (live action movies with CG added) & not enough innovation & quality writing.
