Dec 17th 2008 3:38PM the same laws apply in Germany and even in f***king Belgium. You can buy iPhone there at a whole bunch of stores without any kind of simlock.

Nov 8th 2007 2:25AM In Belgium they use "Proton", a chip embedded on you regular bank card. You can charge it on any cash dispenser and is the equivalent of cash money.
At first special terminals for using it were necessary but now they have been integrated in the "normal" credit/debet card terminals. They can be charged with a maximum of 125 EUR to reduce the financial risk of losing a card since no pin, ID or signature is asked when you use it.
