Verizon's HTC Whitestone garners FCC approval {Engadget}
Aug 20th 2009 10:38AM Any confirmation on a 700mhz band being included in the certification? I think the Whitestone is a Touch Diamond2 with MediaFLO (live TV)
Verizon tidbits: Versa, Touch Diamond, Pearl 8230, and more {Engadget Mobile}
Feb 11th 2009 11:05AM The Pearl 8230 will probably be aGPS-only (i.e. not unlocked GPS like on the Storm).
The Versa is pretty sweet--and I think the data plan is worth it (I hear it has a native Opera web browser?)
Palm Treo Pro listed at Sprint Mobile Software site {Engadget Mobile}
Oct 31st 2008 4:46PM Don't get all excited just yet--the Sprint Software Store is powered by Handmark, which also has it's own branded software catalog. New Verizon rebate form lists Samsung Omnia, i770 "Saga" {Engadget Mobile}
Oct 13th 2008 3:50PM I believe a Samsung "i910" with EV-DO has been blogged about for awhile now. This is probably the same device?
Verizon tells us all about the BlackBerry Storm's "WOW factors" {Engadget Mobile}
Sep 23rd 2008 1:07PM Standalone GPS will in fact be unlocked--how else could Verizon and Vodafone offer a global phone if GPS wasn't available abroad? Yes, BlackBerry Maps will work with the built-in GPS, as will photo geotagging in the camera app. Assisted GPS will be limited to certain applications.
Palm: assimilate with Android or die {Engadget}
Nov 5th 2007 4:09PM I'm surprised HTC didn't just buy Palm for the brand name and fire everybody already. It seems like they want to be more than just an Asian OEM, but using Palm's brand would've been better than self-branding their devices.
