Nov 17th 2007 4:02AM IPTV i out in the US....if you have the new AT&T U-verse service in your area, then you can get IPTV. IPTV tho in the US is Microsoft backed(if i remember correctly)would be one reason i doubt we will see that service here. Bandwidth is becoming less an issue with many telecoms offering FTTP and FTTN services in most major cities and expanding rapidly.

Oct 21st 2006 5:50PM Y are drug dealers and terriost the 1st things that pop up in ppls heads when u talk about prepaid phones??? 95% of them are used by law abiding citizens who either A) dont use a phone enough to justify a monthly bill B) cant afford a monthly bill or are credit chalanged or C) dont want the hassle of a contract.
just because 5% of the users use it for illegal activities doesnt mean all users should be grouped in that catagory.... i bet more illegal transaction are handled per day over contract plans than prepaid phones.
its this ignorance that allows the gov't to get away with stepping on ppls toes....have you heard about the guys arrested in michigan for going in to walmart and buying a couple hundred prepaids.... they where texas and (im from oklahoma) and they are constantly out of stock and are on back order alot.....i thought about saving some money on a few pay checks goin out of town and buy a few boxes ....buy @ $25 sell @ $35-40 ...its basic economics! They where arrested and never charged and still are being held with no charges.
pre paid phones are a service just like any other that can be used for good or bad but its up to the users just like any thing else

Oct 5th 2006 7:51PM Over the air any day over sat or cable.....i use cable HD (cox) as well but if the show im watching is locally broadcast in HD im turning on my good ol directional amplified antenna and getting better clarity and picture than the 'HD' i get from Cox

Sep 28th 2006 12:51PM i was thinkin a charger and a 05 stratus mated and this thing was birthed 9 months later......i like the looks kept the sharp lines aon the rear and along the side of the body of the charger....also kept the charger 'eyes'(headlights).....but the proportions of this car seem off for wat ever reason cant put my finger on it....hope the CRD makes it to this side of the globe but i doubt it

Aug 8th 2006 8:00PM the EVDO network will become their 'base'network like how their 2.5G(basic vision) network is now....Power Vision(EVDO) will be your service in areas that doesnt have WiMAX....so your 'slow speeds' will be 1Mb+ ....correct me if im wrong

it gives the consumer more choices.....why spend $60 a month for cable/DSL @ home when for the same price i can get the same speeds wirelessly from any where
it would force cable/DSL operators to either drop prices significantly or raise speeds significantly or probably BOTH
with a unified standard being worked on early you dont have standards competing (GSM/CDMA ..UMTS(HSDPA)/EVDO-rx)that means the prices of the equipment should be lower since everybody is manufactoring the same equipment(just probably different frequnecies but if sum how that could b unified as well that would be even more amazing)
and with the bandwith afford by 4G your cell phone service provider could also offer your wireless IPtv and simular functions that Verizion wireline and SBC are trying to get into
more competion

Jun 6th 2006 9:18PM no vvr it cannot 'fully' b unlocked.....all the data on sidekick devices go through dangers servers with specific APN ids for its parnering carries( cingular is not 1 of them)....so u would have a 300 voice phone because none of the data end would work

May 25th 2006 9:46PM the sk line of devices isnt meant to compete directly with 'smartphones(i.e treo palm win5). it does have sum smartphone functions(full html web browsing; push and pull-down email) but its more of a phone in a "smartphone" body... but better(imho). i would compare the sk line to apple in function, style, user-friendly, and the cool factor.
the difference between the sk2 and sk3 that have been confirmed(danger, sharp, and tmobile are trying to be as tight lipped as possible) are upgraded to a 1.3 megapixel camera, edge high speed connectivity, bluetooth and minisd slot. rumors are saying it will have a mp3 player and possibly video, an edition with UMA connectivity and wifi. MSN IM should be apart of the new OS or an available download.

Each company is focusing are focusing on different aspects of gaming and hoping there focus will score them a win this generation.
Microsoft goal is to bring next gen graphics and online game play to the masses...they built their machine around that concept...heavy graphics power 'affordable price" ...upgradable as time rolls along to get the same value as their more expensive package....n the xbox360 does that perfectly and beautifully
Nintendo's goal is bring gaming in general to the masses, back to the days of every1 u know having a NES....they want it cheap affordable and fun...they can and will do that cause they have done it in the past...they aren't worried about next gen graphics they want creative game play that gets you addicted. again nintendo has success @ that
sony goal was to create a gaming counsel that would be the centerpiece of any and every home entertainment system...naturally the ps3 became MORE than a gaming console...it has everything that will make it last in a home for the next 5+ years....bluray seems useless in a gaming console and right now it is but over the next 5-10 yrs (and if bluray becomes the HD disc standard) it will be more of a requirement...the whole argument over the no HDMI on the $499 to me is valid but not at the same time...the $499 unit is for gamers who DONT HAVE AN HDTV and dont on planning to buy 1 with in the next several years....it will allow them to take advantage of the additional storage that blueray offers games but not the full HD experience(if and when studios enact ICT)...that's why everything on it can be upgraded EXCEPT that....if you dont have an HDTV and dont want 1 anytime soon i c the $499 as a good price for the ps3....the argument that PS3 graphics and 360 are the same to me is stupid... 360 has been out for a yr and developers are starting to get the "full power" of the 360 developers are have just recently received the final dev kits from sony and those games look on par in graphics....lets see wat devs can do with a yr and half to start using the full power of the ps3...just like ps2 and xbox games keep looking better and better as times rolls on developers find ways to make the games look better.
if you dislike the ps3 because of the price not 2 sound like a snob but its NOT MEANT for you right now....in a few yrs when you have an HDTV and want a centerpiece to your home theater system that you can proudly show off pick one up....i am on launch n so will millions of others
