Verizon VX8575 Chocolate Touch confirmed to be uglier than that other Chocolate Touch {Engadget Mobile}

Sep 21st 2009 6:36PM It's not....TOTALLY ugly...but it sure isn't the BL40...or even BL20 (which looks like an updated original Chocolate) It looks like an updated Dare to be honest. And in regards to the "3G" in the signal bar...yea, saw that. Possible change in labels for the upcoming devices that have 4G, 3G, 1x...Would make sense (especially since there was word that LG passed one of those devices through the FCC already).

RIM's BlackBerry Storm shows its cheaper side on Amazon {Engadget Mobile}

Feb 8th 2009 1:28PM Or if you're eligible to upgrade...it's $99.99 with a $50 New Every Two or $49.99 with a $100 New Every Two.....AND Buy One Get One Free....2 Storms for $49.99...not too shabby.

MetroPCS Screen-it service puts a name to shock callers {Engadget Mobile}

Oct 18th 2008 9:25AM The point I was making was this: There currently is no cell phone directory in the US (since MetroPCS is US only). John M, you stated the account holder's name show's up for you...ok...but what if it's the account holder's child or spouse that calls...it's still not accurate. And Tito, you're correct, it is regarding wireline calls; however, if you read the article they state they are doing this in hopes of getting people to move off of wireline numbers. So in that aspect, if you take people from wireline and put them on wireless, then you just defeated the purpose of this feature since MOST...and I say again, MOST, wireless carriers do not publish your name with the number. Verizon Wireless has always refused to do this to protect personal information.

MetroPCS Screen-it service puts a name to shock callers {Engadget Mobile}

Oct 17th 2008 6:21PM A little "Oops" in their thinking. MetroPCS says they are introducing this service in hopes to help ween people from Wireline service. Ok, great...wonderful. Small problem though. Wireless does not keep a directory of names to numbers so that's a small problem. The person will only see "Wireless Caller" or the state of the number instead...So thanks MetroPCS for providing a service to get people to leave Wireless....and then find your service to be a bit useless...oops!

Verizon XV6900 available April 16 {Engadget Mobile}

Apr 7th 2008 5:55PM kellybrf: If you are going to correct pricing, make sure you verify. Price, as stated by "VZW_emp" is $299.99 before rebate. Advanced Device Discount brings it to $199.99 before rebate and New Every Two (of $100) brings it to $99.99 before rebate. That means, a new Touch for under $100 (not bad huh). As for GPS...not slated YET...however, it may be released after the VZNav version 4 launch, that remains to be seen.

Verizon XV6900 available April 16 {Engadget Mobile}

Apr 7th 2008 1:30PM Correction for you: It's $299.99 (not including $50 MIR). So it's either $349.99 before rebate or $249.99 after rebate. Just an FYI for everyone screaming about price.

AT&T's unlimited plan was a gametime decision {Engadget Mobile}

Apr 3rd 2008 6:02PM HAH! I'm not an at&t fan but this was priceless. Nice to know they admit Verizon is stiff competition. It's true though...Sprint isn't a "quality" competitor...unless you're Cricket or Helio :)

AT&T may not have the LG Vu yet, but it has Vu accessories {Engadget Mobile}

Feb 29th 2008 1:22PM Waiting for MediaFlo to launch? AT&T must forget that it has been launched for quite a while with Verizon Wireless. It's going to be the same channels, plus maybe one or two more (I forget), but it's the same signal and same service. So...want to think of a new excuse? Perhaps that they're having issues with the Vu...or they're just not ready yet?

Verizon scoops aplenty: Touch, Samsung U940, and more! {Engadget Mobile}

Feb 6th 2008 11:34AM Dave...sadly you don't understand what you are talking about. Verizon Wireless does not, nor have they ever "sold" your information to anybody. CPNI shares information with company partners, i.e. Verizon Communications and Vodafone. How much of the information is truely shared remains to be seen. But before you spout out links and try to talk down a company, learn your facts first.

Verizon's XV6900 Touch, in all its shockingly white glory {Engadget Mobile}

Jan 22nd 2008 12:34PM Chris...do you think they should include VCast and Get It Now? I didn't quite know if you were saying they should include VCast and Get It Now from your post. What do you think? Should it have VCast and Get It Now?
