Engadget HD Holiday Giveaway (part II): VUDU's movie set-top-box {Engadget HD}

Dec 26th 2008 11:44AM Not getting anything for Christmas would make this rock in my stocking.

Engadget HD Holiday Giveaway (part I): Sling Media's Slingbox PRO-HD {Engadget HD}

Dec 26th 2008 11:43AM It would be nice to actually get something for Christmas. This would definitely work. :P

Sprint's Treo Pro coming in January along with a pink Instinct {Engadget Mobile}

Dec 19th 2008 1:43PM I was sure that this would replace the 750 for AT&T when it got phased out back in August, but all my hopes are dashed.

LTE gets ratified {Engadget Mobile}

Dec 19th 2008 11:53AM Eh, it could have been worse.

I'm not a religious man, but I'll be damned if I'm not praying for them to get LTE rolled out.

RIAA finds its soul, will stop suing individuals downloading music {Engadget}

Dec 19th 2008 11:20AM I associate the RIAA with that lady who sued McDonald's for her coffee being too hot. But that's just me.

No matter what they do, people will always find a way around this bullshit if they're smart. I'm sure they were already doing something along these lines already, except they were directly contacting people instead of putting the ISP up to it. And as for the "not requiring" ISPs to reveal the identities, I'm sure a few benjamins here and there will make the "optional" turn into "shit yeah let's do this".

Who else wants to bet that Comcast will be on the list of ISPs?

Samsung BlackJack II tops Consumer Reports' list of best smartphones {Engadget Mobile}

Dec 19th 2008 11:02AM The cost versus the functionality does pan out pretty well, even though I hate to admit it. It's an alright phone overall out of what we sell, but what really must bug me is the camera quality, haha. (I still prefer the Q9 to this in that area of handsets.)

The upshot is they didn't pick the Pantech Duo. Now THAT is a terrible phone.

LG Secret, Motorola VA76r "Tundra" confirmed for AT&T {Engadget Mobile}

Dec 19th 2008 10:50AM I work for AT&T, and while the phones are on the rebate form, the only one we know that may be releasing soon is the Tundra. We haven't gotten any documentation from corporate about the Secret, though an LG rep walked in a couple days ago talking about it. Hopefully it comes out soon, it looks pretty sweet.

Win an AT&T Fuze from HTC and Engadget Mobile! {Engadget Mobile}

Dec 19th 2008 10:45AM You know, can anyone remember the days when working for the cell phone industry meant you got free phones almost every month? I've worked for AT&T for over 2 years and I've not even gotten so much as a discount on my plan. Oh how days change.

This phone is pretty friggin' awesome, by the way.
