HTC CEO says he could but won't make HD2 an Android phone, has to take care of Windows Mobile {Engadget}

Oct 30th 2009 5:24AM Well, you go a head and take care of Windows Mobile, let me know how THAT works out for you. While I look for a phone with Android on it. I'll be damned if I ever buy another Windows Mobile phone again. No thank you.

Review: Brutal Legend {Joystiq}

Oct 14th 2009 6:31PM Oh.... I see. The over all RTS game play doesn't fit or isn't as good as the the over all atmosphere and look of the game. Got it. Thank you. You explain it better then the reviewer.

CE-Oh no he didn't! Part LXII: Steve Ballmer publicly ridicules Microsoft employee with iPhone, threatens to smash it {Engadget}

Sep 11th 2009 12:34PM @ Mark Anderson

That great and all, but the POINT is. As a CEO of a major company like Microsoft, Ballmer has the responsibility of "acting" accordingly to the position he is in.

You can say he's "In you face" all you want, that doesn't change the fact that the "employee" who ever he was, has every right now to go to HR and fill a complain against Ballmer -- for "public humiliation of an employee, in a NON-work related incident -- during working hours, in front of the entire company."

AND the employee would WIN, because there's prove. And worst yet, Ballmer himself REPEAT his insults in a PUBLIC forum. And now the situation has made it onto the internet. Ballmer is not a Rock Star, so he doens't get to act like an immature brat. If Ballmer cannot control his own actions, then step down as boss. That is the point.

The internets present: Michael Pachter FACTS {Joystiq}

Jul 2nd 2009 3:55PM I have nothing against the guy, personally. I watch "Bonus Round", and from a business stand point only, he's about 80% right. His predictions are always wrong, but at lease he can admit when he's wrong, which is most of the time.

Let's be honest here, he's a "johnny come lately" in the games industry. He speaks well. He dresses, like some like him would dress. In wall street business attire, which is completely un-relatable in gaming. When he talks about his co-workers, his peers, and people that he has to deal with at work. They all sound like a bunch of jealous, annoying, wall street douchebags, and it makes Patcher come off as just a ringing gong of non-sense. Completely out of touch with what's going on -- in gaming.

However, he (and his family) represents a section of the population. Outside of "our little click". Only when he speaks of his family and actually playing games, THAT is when his opinion is important, or correct. That's when he "get's it". That's when he makes sense and is relatable as a person talk about a subject/hobble/pastime that I care about.

Sony's Net Yaroze homebrew PS1 development community shutting down {Joystiq}

Jun 29th 2009 9:29PM No... I guess I don't. Because what "I" see, is a perfect opportunity to sell "homebrew game legitimately. To bring the "homebrew community" into the fold. Welcoming them, and having them work with you -- instead of having a bunch of intelligent, pissed-off programmers, with time on their hands to take-apart your NEW SYSTEM, and figure out how to steal shit off that.

Duh.

I mean, the PSP-go is come-in out in Oct, right? PSP make them money, right! Wouldn't you pay $5 bucks to support independent programmers, who are working WITH Sony, to make a bunch of on the go mini games? How easy is it to place some guys Linux version of "Bubble Bobble" on the PSN.

Look, Microsoft is doing the same thing with their "community games", and it's a very good idea. The only difference being that the Xbox doesn't have a handheld, in which you could download the software to. Putting Sony is in the lead with this. But instead, they're making another foolish decision without weighing the options and moving with the times.
