Apr 19th 2009 11:31PM Any of you in the Philly/Atlanta area? There are 8 stores in each market running 5 different mini laptop models right now. They have this same Acer for $49.99 when you sign up for the data plan and also have DSL at home. They also carry Dell Mini 9 ($99) Dell Mini 12 ($249) LG X110 ($149) and Lenovo X200 ($749). All are cheaper when you have DSL. Prices online do not reflect discount for having DSL.

Jun 9th 2008 11:52PM The way I was told it was gonna work is by a quick "tethering" to a computer in an AT&T or Apple store. What this does, I have no idea.
I can tell you as an AT&T rep that unless someone tells me they are buying the phone as a gift, we sign them up right there. There was a problem initially with reps not getting the commission for all the iPhones they sell since it's pretty much not trackable once you leave the store. A VERY good reason for the activation to be done in the store
