Jan 5th 2008 5:45AM You are missing the point. Blu-ray is not giving up the 40% of existing HD-DVD customers. Instead they are going after the vast masses that have sat on the sidelines and will jump in when there is a single format.
Companies that are in the Blu-ray camp - just like the HD-DVD companies - are there to make money. Period. The consumers always have a choice to part or not to part with their money. There will and should not be any HD-DVD exchanges for Blu-ray - unless the companies think it is a good marketing move that will ultimately make them MORE money.
Verizon XV6800 / HTC Titan coming November 16th? {Engadget Mobile}
Oct 21st 2007 6:13PM I was out of contract and left Verizon a few weeks ago for AT&T and the iPhone. Very happy with my decision. I was indeed frustrated with Verizon dragging its feet with the XV6800. Before I left I spoke wih Verizon and was told that the reason XV6800 is still not out is due to testing. A bit of a delay is understandable but not 5+ months as Sprint had the phone out in June.
