Nov 12th 2009 10:31AM I think that Apple could take a huge amount of pressure off their app store approval process if they improved their web app development tools. For instance, if Apple built a webOS style development kit where developers could fully mimic the look and feel of a native app (toolbars that stay on the edges, smooth screen transitions, improved gesture support, etc), I think about 75% of app developers could go that route, leaving app approval for things like OpenGL games and really complex apps.
