iPhone and iPhone 3G comparison shot arrives, only one can emerge victorious {Engadget Mobile}
Jun 27th 2008 6:27AM I just realized something...
It's now going to be much harder for EngadgetMobile to notice when a celebrity is holding the iPhone upside down so they can make a pointless news post about it.
Wii Fit already carving up bods, finding use in rehabilitation {Engadget}
Jun 16th 2008 1:59PM I'm with the OP on this one. It's not depressing that it takes a game to get people moving... it's taken games to get people moving for centuries. What do you call Basketball, Baseball, Football, Soccer/Futbol, Lacrosse, Tennis, etc? They are sports... sports are games. Games get people moving. Games get people excited about moving and keep them from being bored.
I, for one, welcome video games that encourage us to get moving. I think this should have come years ago. Even if it's simply something like the WiiFit, or if it's something large scale in gym's that encourage you to use the machines by playing a video game.
Wii Fit already carving up bods, finding use in rehabilitation {Engadget}
Jun 16th 2008 1:50PM Oh, a gimmick... you mean like the gym? What's wrong with just walking, running, riding a bike, or playing a sport? You don't need a gym for any of those! (Unless you can't afford a used bike... but then again, I got mine for $30 on Craigslist and most gym memberships cost at least that per month!)
I mean seriously, what's with all this WiiFit hate? I don't see how it's any different than playing another, more acceptable game like Basketball, Football, or Baseball for fitness. Some people just need something fun to motivate them to get up and get moving. The WiiFit seems to me like a great way to do that.
So, to Engadget, it's not depressing that it takes a game to get people (kids and senior citizens) moving because that's what it's taken for years. Some people just don't like the repetitiveness of standard exercise and would rather enjoy something in the process.
For me, I've found that listening to an audiobook while I walk or run helps keep me entertained, but the WiiFit might be a great addition.
(For the record, I am a fat man. I have over 100 pounds to lose to hit my goal and am walking on a treadmill and riding my bike for exercise.)

TV Armor: like a sneeze guard for your TV {Engadget HD}
Jun 9th 2008 11:22PM Actually, I think the term is "Shot on sight", but you get my meaning.
At the location seen, or when seen. Either way, they should be shot.

Jun 9th 2008 11:21PM range: the difference between the least and greatest values of an attribute or of the variable of a frequency distribution
In other words... $129 is the lowest priced screen and covers 30 to 32 inches, while $169 is the highest priced screen and covers 50 to 52 inches. By this logic, there is likely at least one screen size between the two. My guess is there would be quite a few between those sizes.
And wouldn't you know it? If you click the link you find your answer.
* 30-32 inches-$129
* 36-37 inches-$139
* 40-42 inches-$149
* 46-47 inches-$159
* 50-52 inches-$169
Sometimes I feel the retards of the world should all be shot on site.
Starz Entertainment producing first original series: "Crash" {Engadget HD}
Jun 8th 2008 6:28PM The beauty of the movie was seeing how people's lives affect one another, and how your prejudices can hurt. I don't think a show could deal with all of that in the potent way the movie did. I would feel ripped off having that sort of message portrayed week after week in an hour long episode that doesn't really have the time to possess the same sort of power as the movie did.

Jun 2nd 2008 11:34AM For $4 I would rather rent a movie from Blockbuster and keep it for 14 days before I'm charged for it.
However, I would much rather just pay for a month of Netflix and rent a whole shit load, rip them all, and watch at my leisure.
Lord of the Rings Trilogy headed to Blu-ray? {Engadget HD}
May 28th 2008 2:27PM I know I already commented once... but way too excited to keep my mouth shut! This is the Blu-ray release of the DECADE for me! This is the one I will buy day off... hell, I'll buy this the midnight it releases, take it home and start watching it right away! This is the one that I'll have a shit eating grin on my face about for months! This is IT!
Lord of the Rings Trilogy headed to Blu-ray? {Engadget HD}
May 28th 2008 2:19PM 11+ hours thank you.
And I totally can. I just recently did the whole extended thing in one sitting and ya know what? It really just felt like one long movie... not like 11 hours worth of movie. Also, it was awesome and I'd do it again in HD the day they come out!
