Mark Jacobs announces major features cut from Warhammer Online {Massively}

Jul 11th 2008 3:49PM I still don't get why these companies don't just look at Blizzard and copy what they do, since they are obviously successful. Blizz has pretty much always had the policy of "the game will be released when it's done" they never set release dates until they are 90% sure they can be ready by then. I agree with whoever said it earlier, wait a year, make sure the game is done, and by then the WoW xpac buzz will have died down and most people will be bored again looking for something else to play.

Time Warner Cable rolling out SDV, new HD channels in San Diego {Engadget HD}

Jul 1st 2008 12:34PM actually, the letter I got had a lot of information about the Tuning adapter. They're very aware of it and mentioned it is being considered that they will let us use them for free. Keep in mind, this will only affect people using CableCARDS (so basically TivoHD and Tivo Series 3 owners)

Study: in-game advertiser says 82% of you don't mind in-game ads {Joystiq}

Jun 18th 2008 11:07AM Like others have said, it depends on the context. In fantasy type settings, ads would detract from the game, but in real-world settings, then billboards and signs almost helps immerse you more into the environment. That and I agree with the others that if companies want to get their products in front of our faces by having in game ads, then the price of games should go down.
