Xbox 360's new Netflix Movie Parties disabled for Starz Play titles? {Engadget}
Jul 26th 2009 9:51PM Could it be that, perhaps, it's related to the content rating rather than the video source?
The two movies that they couldn't play were rated R. The two that they could were 'NR' and...presumably 'TV-14'. Just a thought.
Want to sell an iPhone game? Price it $2 or less {Joystiq}
Jul 11th 2009 1:15AM The $2 bill is currently being printed. They're just not all that heavily in circulation. I'm a valet and frequently receive $2 bill tips from a particular member of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
American Idol: Top 13 elimination results {TV Squad}
Mar 12th 2009 8:43AM Here's something I don't get about the new rule:
They are only able to use it once and only until the top 5. When Seacrest explained the rule, he used Tamyra, Daughtry, Michael Johns (..ha ha ha), and Jennifer Hudson as the examples. Of those four people, the 'new rule' would have only been able to help Michael Johns (he was voted off top 7 week) and Jennifer Hudson (she was voted off top 6 week). The rule would have never helped Daughtry or Tamyra because America had already voted them too far in.
I just find it funny that Idol continues to pimp Jennifer Hudson now that she's an Oscar and Grammy winner when the judge support of her back during the season (especially Simon's) was not so good.

...well...if you command-click the icon, it opens the folder in Finder.

Palm's airport stores not closing, because they don't belong to Palm {Engadget Mobile}
Feb 6th 2008 10:29PM One great thing about Pittsburgh International is the requirement that stores there have normal 'mall prices'. Effectively, this prevents stores from price gouging due to convenience like they do in every other airport.

Jan 24th 2008 8:04PM You also left out my favorite, as well: the grandfather clock. Given that the contestants on TPiR are either really old or college students, I can imagine one of the college kids having a nice grandfather clock in his frat house bedroom.
Those iPod touch MIA features {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Jan 16th 2008 11:15PM I actually think the thing that is going to make people more angry than the fact that right now they're not getting new free features like wiggling and such is that in a month when the SDK is released, they likely won't be able to install any new apps since they don't have the fancy customizable Springboard....
Guess we'll just have to wait and see on that one.... As for SOX, I can understand Apple wanting to ensure proper accounting or whatever, but... Nintendo Wii, Xbox 360, Sony PS3/PSP, .... any cell phone ... heck.. even the Toyota Prius.. have all had software upgrades at 0 additional cost. Maybe those companies accounted for the revenue spread out over time, too, like Apple is doing with the AppleTV and iPhone.
PC Mag gives iPod Touch an Editor's Choice {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Sep 13th 2007 9:33PM I think the most important thing to realize when complaining about the amount of flash that the iPod Touch has is that the iPod Nano is the best selling mp3 player...ever. While the touch's capacity may be a problem for some, it seems that many, many, many people are more than satisfied with their 1, 2, 4, or 8gb nano.
HTC releases official update for AT&T 8525 {Engadget Mobile}
May 1st 2007 10:50AM In response to #11:
The following information is from xda-developers and does work:
Disable/change the startup animation or sound
HKLM\SOFTWARE\HTC\StartupAnimation
Enabled - change from 1 to 0 to turn everything off and permanently fix the volume issue.
You can also customize the animated boot up by deleting or changing 2 keys. (Doing this does not fix the volume issue)
Delete the WAVFile Key to remove the sound only.
Delete the GIFFile Key to remove the animation only.
Put your own .GIF file or .WAV file on the phone and rewrite the 2 keys (WAVFile GIFFile) to the new file location. i.e. \My Documents\Files\CustomAnimation.gif
More info about tweaking the 8525's registry can be found at:
