Microsoft working on its own Tegra-powered superphone? Doubtful. {Engadget}

Testy much?

I was simply confused by your comment not belittling you for it. I see why you made your comment now but it still isn't completely accurate. The links you provide are for patents that enhance multi-touch. Multi-touch itself is not patented by Apple and in fact is in use by Microsoft Surface and HP TouchSmart products. We'll see multi-touch on more and more devices now that it has been adopted by enough big name electronics companies.

Microsoft working on its own Tegra-powered superphone? Doubtful. {Engadget}

I think you got that backwards. Right now only WinMO runs on Tegra chipset but Android could probably be ported to it simply enough. With Google behind Android it actually has a chance of getting support from Nvidia.

T-Mobile Cameo frame now available for $99.99 {Engadget}

Nov 20th 2008 11:32AM I don't think it is stupid nor pointless but I do believe it is overpriced. I can see a multitude of uses for this but I could just as easily do them with a frame that connects to a home network and I just send the pictures from my phone to the picture frames IP address with no extra monthly charges. Sounds like a job for IPV6!

Vizio intros 55-inch 1080p XVT HDTV, soundbar, more goodies {Engadget}

Nov 20th 2008 10:05AM Ever seen the speakers in a Bose system? I'm not saying the speakers in a Vizio aren't cheap but the small size doesn't make them cheap.

Will tough times give RPTVs one final breath of life? {Engadget HD}

Nov 18th 2008 12:01PM I imagine it depends on the cost vs LCD and Plasma. I love my 42" RPTV picture more than my 50" Plasma (both 1080i). Considering today's RPTVs are only about 15" thick which is still less than most AV equipment and should sit on and AV cabinet. I was even able to mount my RPTV above the fireplace on the mantle with an inch to spare.

More "Vista Capable" emails unsealed, revealing sassy civil war {Engadget}

Nov 18th 2008 11:52AM Not only on time but with the features that would have made it actually a compelling upgrade from XP. You know, like WinFS and Virtual Folders. As well as removing popular features XP has like NetMeeting, and Profiles.

Netgear's HDXB111 / XAVB101 powerline adapters now shipping {Engadget}

Nov 17th 2008 10:59AM It's not a whole lot different than running the internet over the phone line (DSL) or coax (Cable). All three have a signal at one frequency and the network traffic uses a different frequency on the same line. As long as the two frequencies don't interfere with each other everything is fine. I think the fact that a 120V 60Hz signal can physically hurt you and a phone and cable signal generally won't (they can but it is rare) is what gives people the "iffy" feeling. Wireless can be hijacked by anyone close to the signal and is subject to interference by many common household items. In the end it's just another way to connect to your network. You're free to choose what works best for you.

2Wire's MediaPoint HD streamer box is special, just like everybody else {Engadget}

Nov 11th 2008 9:51AM I wonder if 2Wire is looking to supplement ATT's U-Verse set tops as they already provide the gateway for the service?
