iPhone 2.0 firmware release date hidden under our noses {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Jun 30th 2008 9:22AM I don't get why people even entertain the idea it'll ship before then. It'll be available the day the new iPhone comes out. I can't see Apple letting version 1 phone users have access to all the new goodies before the people paying to get a second gen one. It'll be simultaneous or slightly later, why would they ever considering doing anything else?

Show floor video: EyeTV 3.0 {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Jan 15th 2008 7:10PM Weird, checkout worked fine for me. Got it installed and looks great. Only thing that's a shame is that, with the sharing feature, I can't install a second version on another machine (that doesn't have a TV tuner or anything) and use it to stream my recordings across my network. Looks like I need two licenses, which is a shame.

iPhone firmware 1.1.3 icon rearrangement on video? {Engadget Mobile}
Dec 30th 2007 5:50PM Definitely a cool addition. Although I'm beginning to get annoyed with everyone saying "it should have always been able to do that". It's crazy! It didn't do that. People knew, in detail, what it could and couldn't do when they bought it. And on top of this, people knew Apple planned to issue regular updates to provide enhanced functionality. Yes, maybe you feel it should have had that to start with, but my bet is, when some magical video streaming recording movie studio functionality gets added down the line, someone somewhere will feel "it should have always been able to do that". It can't, it soon will. Be thankful, be excited, and let's leave it at that. Please!

Aug 2nd 2007 3:19PM I must admit, as much as I try to give Dave some credit, I've bought three things off him, and whenever I've had a license issue or.... any issue at all to think of, he just totally ignores you. Takes you cash and that's that. No support, no help, nothing. It's a shame he makes such good software that's let down by.... him?

Is the firewall enabled in Mac OS X by default, or not? {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Sep 18th 2006 5:10PM It's always off. It's a common misconception that the OS X firewall is on by default. It never has been as far as I'm aware.
