Jul 21st 2008 8:44AM its a real shame but thats how many companies are going these days. you barely get a cradle with most phones nowadays and they are all pretty prone to scratches.

When it comes to apple products, if you even just remove the crazy packaging off the products you could save 10 bucks right there. Its nice and all but i don't really need a nice box if all i want is the nice product.

Openmoko FreeRunner looking good for early July release {Engadget Mobile}

Jun 22nd 2008 10:26PM i remember a whole bunch of people who bought a phone which couldn't do a lot of things phones these days can do..... No MMS, no 3G and no video recording.... and people still bought it, probably most likely because of its little apple logo.

And 3g is not worldwide mass deployed, people still do use GSM in some areas because its already set up, and to costly for 3G deployment. if they keep costs to a minimum on a phone like this then it could be the XO of the phone industry.

So maybe it wont be your next phone, but its an idea that may prove useful, but how useful is the question.

HTC exec claims Q109 for first Windows Mobile 7 phones? {Engadget}

Jun 16th 2008 1:20AM @Darren

I actually agree with you. it is a good thing iPhones are around.

If it wern't for the iPhone the winmo platform has no real competitors, and competition is the basis for doing anything these days.
