Nov 9th 2009 11:19PM $5 is a little rich for my blood. $1 would've been a no brainer... $3 would be pushing it.

Oct 13th 2009 1:02PM I was always curious and interested about the 2wire device... seemed to have a fair amount of potential but it sounds like it's fizzled into nothingness.
Glad to see this finally hit my Tivo though I don't think I'll use it much.

Oct 2nd 2009 6:33PM Pressed blu-ray discs that held more data which would mean less need for multiple discs would be welcome if the reliability was there but I get the feeling we won't see these for a long time.
As for burned media... do blu-rays have the same issues DVD does? That is, you have to use quality media to get a burn that lasts a while (and even those can degrade over time)?
ASUS ships $100 O!Play HDP-R1 HD media streamer {Engadget}
Oct 1st 2009 7:50PM @chris- I have some shows that can't be pulled off using pytivo (and I bought tivo desktop anyway) because of CCI bytes so I'd be using the hauppage device. I tried this on my laptop and had problems with playback so I'm trying to get upgraded hardware that would let me know if my software or hardware is fubared or not.

Ars' mole predicts holiday Xbox 360 bundle, network adapter price cut {Joystiq}
Sep 22nd 2009 2:31PM Still not buying one. Don't need it, I wired my living room, and at $80 or $100 it's still more money than I'd be willing to spend.
But while you can find adapters cheaper at newegg or amazon, if you look at Best Buy or Walmart and look at Linksys, Belkin or Netgear adapters, their adapters are $40-$60, not $10-20 for 11g; 11n are 20-40 more. Most routers start at $50 and the 11ns are usually close to $100.
