2007 --The Year of Gossip {AOL Hot Searches}

Jan 1st 2008 12:24AM I think TMZ has some hilarious, creative geniuses for writers. However, I lost some of my fondness for the site after Anna Nicole died. The site seemed to be a catalyst for some of Anna Nicole's angst after the the death of her son, Daniel.
Actually, let me qualify that statement: TMZ was not the vehicle for Anna Nicole's subsequebnt downslide, but the nasty, vituperative comments made by certain obsessive commenters on the site appeared to be a contributing factor.

The Atheist Who Came In From the Cold {News Bloggers}

Nov 16th 2007 8:59PM For anyone who feels compelled to explore this topic further, read William J. Murray's book, "My Life Without God." William J. Murray is the son of Madalyn Murray O'Hare, the "celebrated" atheist who was a one-woman show in erasing prayer and Bible reading from public school classrooms across America. William Murray's boyhood and teen years were spent absorbing his mother's unorthodox beliefs.

At age 33 William Murray became convinced of a Creator. If there is anyone out there who has even a seedling of doubt with respect to the "is there or isn't there?" question, I urge you to read Murray's book. If nothing, the book is thought provoking and will challenge the mindset of the most intellectual and erudite atheist or agnostic.

As for Anthony Flew, the subject of Dinesh D'Souza's blog....
Flew's late-in-life conviction, after years spent disproving the existence of a Creator, comes as no surprise really. Nursing homes and retirement villas are filled with residents hungry for more than nightly visits to the Bingo Room. Just as there are no atheists in foxholes, there are just as few atheists behind the walls of senior citizen complexes.

Toni Kukoc Calls Current NBA Players Selfish and Stupid {Fanhouse NBA Blog}

Nov 14th 2007 11:06PM Do you really think Kucok is a blowhard? I think he's probably half right in his characterization of NBA players as "selfish and stupid;" Selfishness abounds on the court; not so for stupidity. I can't help but think of the old joke that harbors more than a bounce of truth: "If you're so smart, then why ain't you rich?"

If there's anyone to blame for the selfish, smug attitude that has fouled the courts of professional basketball, look no further than the injudicious fans. It's the spectators who deify NBA players, thus symbolically slapping multimillion dollar price tags on their backsides. Where is the wisdom in this? No wonder the players' heads have finally caught up with their super-inflated salaries.

September's bumper crop for T-Mobile to include first 3G handset? {Engadget Mobile}

Aug 15th 2007 5:54AM I can't give Kudos to T-Mobile, no matter how great the phone looks. I would never sign up with T-Mobile again ever. They are a greedy, one-way company with only one thing in mind - getting over on the customer any way they can. Too bad that phone wasn't picked up by one of the competition first.
