Apr 14th 2009 2:15AM what does rooting have to do with the supposed "cupcake" update? Not til recently when the magic roms were released that we had an even sort of stable rom to run close to to 1.5.
root just gave more flexibility to what you want to do to the phone, super user apps, themes without the home apps. what convinced me to root was the much needed ability to stop running apps in the task manager.

Apr 8th 2009 4:59PM danger was acquired by microsoft a little over a year ago for 500 million, just do a google search of "microsoft buying danger" this brought speculation that the zune phone was on its way. I wouldn't be suprised if the zune marget was integrated into the sidekick os like it is in windows mobile 6.5.
