Mar 13th 2009 4:34AM I believe the biggest differences between the E71 and E71x is the X loses the front camera for video calls and it runs the updated Feature Pack 2

RIM leads US smartphone sales, Apple ousts HTC for second {Engadget Mobile}

Sep 10th 2008 8:58AM That's because the US is practically a 3rd world country when it comes to mobile phones. Europe and Asia have all the cool phones. C'mon, the majority of the Americans didn't even know much about Third Generation networks until that 2nd silly iPod with phone function put the term "3G" into it's name. Almost half the world uses Symbian, yet Americans know nothing about it since our carriers are sleeping with RIM, Windows Mobile, and Apple.

Nokia N85 hits FCC in two flavors, one with just a touch of North American 3G {Engadget Mobile}

Aug 8th 2008 7:16AM The FCC stuff declares "WCDMA Band I/II(1900)/VIII)"

Band I = 2100
Band II = 1900
Band VIII = 900

for it to have 850, Band V would have to be listed

Walt Mossberg reviews the iPhone 3G, isn't that impressed (now with more David Pogue and Ed Baig!) {Engadget Mobile}

Jul 9th 2008 5:54AM Wow, Mossberg actually kept it real and brought up how the data plan actually makes the phone more expensive. Nothing new here, this just follows the usual plan of the carrier subsidizing the "free" phone and getting you on the contract plan. It's no wonder we American's don't believe in spending top dollar on mobile phones which in turn keeps our mobile infrastructure immature. "Why move to 3G networks when the RAZR being given out for free doesn't use it?!"

Garmin Nuvifone hitting AT&T for $500 plus? {Engadget Mobile}

May 1st 2008 6:40AM Wow, GPS, 3.5G, wi-fi, 3mp camera! 500 dollars? so my question is where is that extra 200 dollars going when it doesn't even come with a logo of a fruit that you have one a day and keeps the doctor away?! =P
