Rumor: 9to5Mac says The Brick is 'a block of aluminum' {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Oct 5th 2008 2:14AM My only question is, if the case is made from a solid brick of aluminum, how are you going to have slots for RAM, HDD, and battery access...?? I would hope that they would still have seams in the casing for these, and not pull a nano style single piece case with a MBA lack of hardware access...

Seinfeld and Gates get in touch with regular folks {Engadget}

Sep 12th 2008 12:20AM The beauty about this is that its about Windows without having anything to do with Windows at all.

The mere fact that Bill Gates is in there automatically relates it to Microsoft, and in essence Windows. So as long as these skits (I can't really call them ads) are entertaining, in your mind you're going to relate them to Windows. Compund that with the fact that people who were into Seinfeld will relate their positive feelings towards to show to Windows as well, you have an "ad" that stands on it's own, but also increases a products image through a series of loose asscociations. So if these are fun and entertaining, subconsciously, Windows is also fun and entertaining, and that's an image that Microsoft desperatly needs

HTC's Opal set to replace the aging Touch? {Engadget}

Sep 9th 2008 8:34AM I wonder how long it will be before someone says "OMG t3h Xperia is made bY sONY nOt hTC!!!"

On topic, this is interesting to see HTC release a low end device in the Touch family. According to the article it runs TouchFLO 3D? With the Diamond having issues with it, I'd like to see if the lower resolution is enough to counterbalance the lower hardware specs to keep things running smoothly...

Dell Precision and Latitude E series hands-on {Engadget}

Aug 12th 2008 5:01PM I'd actually like to see some comparison shots to their XPS and Studio line. I get a discount on Latitudes through my school, so if these arent too bulky in comparison to Dells consumer offerings (and, in effect, most consumer offerings)

More details on HTC's Touch Diamond / Touch Pro for Verizon and Sprint {Engadget}

Aug 6th 2008 3:05AM Thats the Touch Pro, not the Diamond. Thats why their both listed as having microSD slots. The pic of the Diamond specs lists a 4GB internal chip for Sprint.

However, as someone already pointed out, apparently Engadget missed the battery capacity upgrade for the Diamond on both carriers versions, now 1340 mAh as opposed to 900 mAh, this is awesome
