Amp'd revises shutoff date: July 31 at the earliest {Engadget Mobile}

Jul 24th 2007 9:52AM I'm one of those rare Amp'd customers who had good credit and paid his bill every month. I foolishly chose Amp'd about 6 months ago because I could get 500 minutes on the Verizon network for $30 instead of the $40 from Verizon or AT&T. Did not care about all the ghetto crap they streamed, just wanted a phone.

So now I'm ported over to Verizon, got a new Razr for $9.99 and a two year contract with Verizon.

Learned my lesson and would not touch another startup cell phone carrier.
