Sprint hits back with the Samsung Instinct {Engadget Mobile}

Apr 6th 2008 10:37PM I've been a Nextel and Sprint customer for 6 years. Always on an unlimited plan. It was $99, when I started way back with them. I travel a lot and have no more issues with the Sprint network then any of my coworkers have with their ATT/VZW/TMO. They all are imperfect, but still beat pagers and pay-phones.

I have friends that are extremely pleased with Helio, as well (...just not the service. As for Sprint service... they are really stepping things UP! I've encountered a team approach - 2 people helping at the same time - an issue was resolved quickly and satisfactorily. The hold times were almost nonexistent.

Looks like they are making a real effort. (Time will tell)

I liken Sprint to the (Mythical) gas station selling gasoline for fifty cents less a gallon then their competitors. Would you not shop there, in the belief that your station was somehow better? I think it's in the consumers favor to support price competition, in all arenas. They are taking the lead, so far! If they improve their phone selection... it will get interesting!

Currently, waiting for the BB Curve. (But, open to innovation.)

Some Kind of Wonderful {TMZ}

Mar 11th 2008 2:34AM God Help America!

Is this an example of a voter, much less and Obama supporter? No wonder we get the leadership we deserver. 4 more years of disaster!

["41. I love Obama .........He is sooooooooooooooooo sexy and intelligent.
Yes, I wish,, I could get many Obama kisses
He makes politics interesting........He is so captivating......]

BlackBerry Endorsing Barack? {TMZ}

Mar 10th 2008 10:48PM Hillary and Obama, both have way too many "Special Interest" backing them. And sadly, for America... one of them will probably win! McCain has anger management issues. Probably, from being a prisoner of war. He's dangerous, and in a very real sense. He won't spend as much of our tax dollars as the Democrats will, with their socialistic entitlement programs, and their typical 'Cradle to grave" government will take care of you because you can't, philosophy!

Obviously, no one here knows why they are even voting for their choice. probably, voting for good speeches, hair, looks... promises! Learn what the real issues are facing our country. Not one or two? But, as many as you can wrap your mind around. Then, and only then, can you match the candidate that best represents the answer to the problems, as you perceive them.

It's not about race or gender, but the qualities and ideas of leadership... choose WISELY!

Otherwise, better that you don't vote? We need an informed voter base. One that cares enough to perform their due-diligence in understanding what is at stake! It's your future!

Mar 10th 2008 9:56PM None of the above!

Once again... we're screwed! The one man who could have saved our economy, was censored out. Too bad, for America. Obama is all talk and NO substance, HillyBilly, is more of the same BS, different package. McCain will get us in more foreign conflicts. ALL of them will break the bank with socialism and warmongering. We simply cannot afford any of them.

You'll get the government you deserve.

Poll: What's wrong with Sprint? {Engadget}

Mar 10th 2008 2:06PM No matter your opinion of Sprint/Nextel... you don't want to wish their demise.

Their pricing programs - Simply Everything - are driving the developing price wars, and to all of our ultimate benefit. (Competition is good!) The more providers, the better. The wireless cartel is finally starting to crack under the pressure of a built-out customer base among all of the providers. (Service wise they all suck!) I despise ATT for their monopolistic land-line days, and their "Slamming" practices after the deregulation. In principle, I would never do business with ATT (IPhone or no) Their long history of gouging consumers is "Oil company" historic.

Nextel has worked for my business, for many years. We know that the government will be buying the ISDN network, shortly. They want a dedicated emergency network after the recent weather disasters that they learned from. Sprint will sell off Nextel, and with the cash and increased stock values from that move, will continue to be competitive... exactly what we all should want, no matter your provider.

As for CS, when I recently switched to their new unlimited plan, I was shocked to have the call answered immediately, and expressed it to, what turned out to be the first quality and efficient CS experiences ever had with Sprint! He said that they are adding many more reps, and making a concerted effort in all areas. It showed! Perhaps, theres hope?

Sprint debuts "Simply Everything" plan for $99 a month {Engadget}

Mar 2nd 2008 7:13PM YES! It does include the non-enterprise version of BlackBerry!

It also includes Nextel, which I have been a satisfied, and well traveled customer of, for years.

Ain't No Party Like A Third Party {Politics Daily}

Feb 28th 2008 7:23PM Ron Paul... places the enforcement of non constitutionally mandated issues on the states, where they belong. It's easier for voters to have an effect on local and state government then on federal. (What has your congressional rep done for you lately... did they even ask?)

The only candidate that will abolish taxes and the reasons they are used for is... Dr. Paul. On that alone there should be a wave of support. The majority of Americans do not support the war.

These are the two biggest issues. On principle... if you are against the (So called) war, you must vote Democrat. If you are against being taxed and entitled from cradle to grave, you would vote (The Old) Republican party. Neither party is offering you the only choice that answers both issues.

Then again...one candidate... a like-long Republican. One who will not go to war without congressional declaration, and who will restore our Republic to it's original intent. The man that BIG mega-corps fears most... he quietly works on fundamentals, that answers both of these issues, and all of the rest.

But his voice is censored.

Never underestimate the ignorance of the American voter. You deserve the government you vote for!

Ain't No Party Like A Third Party {Politics Daily}

Feb 28th 2008 7:02PM Bush started out on the right platform, but lost his way after 9/11. Now he will go down as the most expensive president on record. Gore would have been just as awful, and on so many other counts.

The Democrats and Republicans are blending more and more on, too many pro-big-government, pro-immigration, cradle to grave entitlement issues.

It's the economy. Any Ron Paul supporter worth his salt can recite all of the issues that are not being discussed, all of which will determine the economic future of America.

Ron Paul, is the only answer that will stop the police actions, and go after the real threats to America. The BIG ones who have enacted a death-toll on the American public that pales in comparison with anything that Al Qaeda can bring.

Dr. Paul is the only real conservative. The efforts to censor and discount him are proof of the threat he present to the power-elite.

Business as usual... will put us deeper in to an economic depression.

Third party, or write-in... how can you vote for an admitted war-monger who feels Islamic extremism is our greatest threat? How can you vote for Obama/Clinton who mirror each other, so much that gender is the only divider. Their increased Tax & Spend philosophy, along with McCain's goal of policing the world, will simply break us!

Vote for the only man who addresses the economy and has the long standing solutions.

Once again we are offered horrible choices, save one?

Costco Brewery: Will warehouse club conquer beer market, too? {BloggingStocks}

Feb 11th 2008 6:41PM I believe your Rocky Mountain high comes from something else?

Firestone-Walker brewery in central California is the number one mid-size (Micro) brewer in the US, and they have the medals to prove it!

A better Pale Ale you would be hard pressed to find.

I also enjoy Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, and Full Sail Pale Ale from a small employee owned brewer in Oregon. (Sold through Trader Joes)
