Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 drives said to be failing at an alarming rate {Engadget}

Jan 16th 2009 7:12PM I actually specifically bought the WD 1TB drive instead of this Seagate (I normally love Seagate) because the drive was getting poor reviews on newegg because of poor drive life.

The Street: "Mac Owners Are Snobs" {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Feb 17th 2008 3:53PM Starbucks? I'm insulted, I go to Caribou whenever I go to a chain coffee shop. Though I do have a notebook, and do drive a stationwagon... I also occasionally buy things from iTunes.

Blackberry outage shows that RIM learned nothing in 2007 {Engadget Mobile}

Feb 13th 2008 12:22PM Funny thing about this last "outage"... I was up and running the whole time with VZW in Minneapolis, and a friend of mine was also up and running the whole time with TMO in Lawrence, KS. Overall, the RIM BlackBerry network is still the most secure and reliable means of mobile email and data. Need I remind the iPhone fanboys here that ATT has had a fair number of EDGE outages since the iPhone came out 8 months ago.

Office for Mac 2008 coming for Enterprise on Feb 1 {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Jan 18th 2008 2:22PM I believe the University of Minnesota website said right around February 16th for our licensed copies for students.

A match made in hell: Microsoft eying RIM? {Engadget Mobile}

Aug 30th 2007 2:54PM Oh good god, no!

Keep it the way it is now! RIM is innovative, and makes great products. Microsoft... not so much.

iPhoneSIMfree announces availability of iPhone unlock within 3 days {Engadget Mobile}

Aug 29th 2007 2:57AM Wouldn't it be illegal for them to re-lock it after someone unlocked it? I was under the impression the law was that they can't stop you from unlocking the device, though they don't have to provide you with help to do so either. Re-locking an unlocked device would sure sound like stopping you from unlocking it.

Verizon Wireless unleashes globetrotting BlackBerry 8830 {Engadget Mobile}

May 28th 2007 1:36PM I don't see where it comes with the Global Support Pack... I don't see it mentioned anywhere, and I was under the impression that it costs $40 extra (unless you sign up for the Global Data plan.)

BBHub ceases publication tomorrow {BBHub}

Jan 30th 2007 6:14PM I had BBHub setup in Newsclip on my Blackberry, and I always thought it was a great source for BlackBerry news. I'll miss it, but ah well, life goes on

Here's what BoyGenius looks like- and sounds like, too! {BBHub}

Oct 22nd 2006 2:44AM I gotta agree with Sky Siegel, HSPDA instead of HSDPA, and just the general movement of the "interview" and the type of speech involved. A lot less professional, and perhaps less intelligent then I'd have imagined.

And about his "secret identity" deal, it wouldn't surprise me if RIM or some of these other companies knew who he was, but decided to let it keep going on because it just works out so conviniently for them too.
