Aug 16th 2007 9:31AM I say screw at&t. I was so excited about this phone, but if at&t is going to cripple the wifi, who knows what else will be crippled, maimed, or otherwise reduced in function. I wouldn't be surprised if at&t figured out how to make the thing "phone home" to report data usage of wifi.
Damn at&t and maimed phones. I want a 8820 that isn't maimed.

Jul 12th 2007 8:24AM Cynical as it is, I am glad to see such news. Moto's cellphone division needs a 180 degree turn around. I have used many Moto products and they used to be the best (and profitable), now they are something I'd scrape off my shoe (Razr anyone). If they want to be profitable in the long run, they really need to focus on quality, both of the hardware AND the software. Of 7 moto phones I've owned in as many months, 6 have been returned due to defects (usually software based it seems, losing contacts, lockups, etc.)
