Telus launches Palm Treo 755p {Engadget Mobile}

Aug 23rd 2007 7:37PM The sarcasm train has left the station and you are not on it. Because it would appear you are a fifth grader reading at a first grade level I will translate this post for you.

"I too would love a 755p, but for some reason Verizon thinks its customer's should be happy with "the network" and V-Cast, and they needlessly delay releasing phones that others have had for months."

Aug 23rd 2007 7:21PM Why would a Verizon subscriber want a 755p, Tytn, Touch, or any other updated device...They have "the network" which is enough. Oh yeah, they also have V-Cast music which allows them to pay $2 for songs that other people can get for .99. Honestly with V-Cast and "the network" you think people would shut up already.

Verizon preps for launch of UTS XV5800? {Engadget Mobile}

Aug 3rd 2007 2:32PM When this phone actually comes out, I may rethink my post. Verizon refuses to release any smartphones that are even remotely current or up to date. They also refuse to provide any information at all about any release dates. They have us all in contract, and therefore limit our ability to go to other carrier without paying hundreds of dollars. Additionally, that you can only use a "verizon" phone on the verizon network further limits the "free market" enviorment. If the mobile phone industry was truely a free market, you could purchase any cdma phone and use it on "the network", thus encouraging phone manufacturers to make the best phones possible, and the providers to provide the best network possible. There is nothing free market about the cell industry.

Motorola W385, new LG Chocolates live on Verizon {Engadget Mobile}

Jul 10th 2007 11:56AM Yeah, its simple. I for one don't care about the iPhone, I think its an overhyped load of crap. But just because the iPhone is dogcrap doesnt mean that verizon should be satisfied sitting on its hands. If they want to be considered a leader in their industry, they have to do something innovative. The chocolate 2 is not innovative. The same UI for the last decade is not innnovative. Crippling bluetooth is just plain rediculous. Forever stalling phone releases is simply silly. The CDMA tech is somewhat limiting, but Verizon should at the very least be getting the newest and best they can from Korean manus like LG. They use CDMA in Korea and have some innovative phones. Just because the iPhone isnt all that and a bag of chips doesnt mean I should have to put up with verizon's BS.
