CE-Oh no he didn't! Part XLV: Symbian's Lee Williams rips into Android, implies Google is evil (video) {Engadget}
Oct 26th 2009 9:55AM Okay, the nokia rant above has a problem with google profiting from users... while they rant, they are using an ad-supported website, and so are you, when you read engadget. How evil. Giving you a free service and making their living (and your stock value) by showing you ads by paying companies. wow.
Mamiya's DM22 is a medium format digital camera for the Walmart type at sub-$10k pricepoint {Engadget}
Oct 23rd 2009 2:34PM Medium format is a sensor (or, gasp, film) size of greater than 35mm, but less than 4X5", which would be called "large format".
Most DSLR's these days use a smaller than 35mm sensor. The most popular size is APS-C, but higher end DSLR's are made with a "full frame" 35mm sensor.
Sanyo Eneloop batteries good for 1,500 recharges, maintain 70% charge even after 3 years in storage {Engadget}
Oct 6th 2009 11:38AM Kodak pre-charged have better performance than eneloops. 8 for about $8 at walmart. Maha Imedeons are top dawg in this market, but the cost is quite a bit higher for similar performance to the Kodaks.
Z Corporation debuts "world's most affordable" portable 3D scanner, still more expensive than your car {Engadget}
Sep 17th 2009 10:49AM Engadget, you guys have obviously never heard of Nextengine.com
They have a desktop 3d scanner that outputs stitched polygon volumes in minutes, for under $5000.
When I worked at a toy company in LA a few years ago, we beta tested their first gen product. They have come pretty far since.
They don't have the precision of these z corp products, but they would be great for the game industry etc.

Jabra's HALO now ready to make stereo Bluetooth look a little less ridiculous {Engadget}
Aug 26th 2009 10:42AM I have the jabra 3030, earbuds and a "dogtag" BT box. Much less dorky than these, and I can tuck in the dogtag. The earbuds it comes with are actually very good. Great low end, no crackle, and no distortion. If you don't like them, you can plug in whatever other phones you want, since it uses a standard 3.5mm jack... FWIW
