The iPhone 3G on AT&T: we ask the burning questions {Engadget}

Jun 10th 2008 5:34AM I do have a question is the AT&T deal as last minute put together as it seems? Just seems to not be that detailed of information with the release a month off. Seems like pricing schemes for contracts would been figured out by now. I didnt hate the 5 year exclusive agreement for the first phone. This time seems like AT&T has to much freedom. I think they should realy do $199 or at most $249 for people needing to upgrade there account. I mean at the least they are getting $69.99 from the people who sign up and everyone is locked in for 2 years. But who fucking cares about the consumer.

iPhone 3G purchase and activation will be in-store only {Engadget}

Jun 10th 2008 12:34AM Anyone browse the international apple stores for pricing or seeing if they will be available online. All i have checked is the UK and Netherlands store. Each either say available from 02 or tmobile and no pricing details.

Jun 10th 2008 12:01AM What other phone do you get to take it home and activate it later besides when u order one online and activate it with a phone? I have yet to see word from Apple if you can take it home and activare it. i seen some posts from people who takled to apple reps saying the same itunes activation is still a go.

Jun 9th 2008 11:01PM So is the phone $199 or$ 299 no matter what if u renew contract or not. The commercial says the phone is half the price of the old one and has no small print so if its not $199 make it look easy to sue apple for false advertising.

Jun 9th 2008 10:37PM I keep asking the same question in different post and am still waiting on the answer. Also can u upgrade at any time to the new phone or have to pay a fee?

Jun 9th 2008 10:09PM So is the phone still $199 if you alredy have a att contract on another phone or do you have to pay a higher price?

Confirmed: GoPhone is No Go and in-store Activation only {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Jun 9th 2008 9:27PM So what about the 2 year wait between update on phones does that still stand or can u get the phone but have to pay full price nd wha is the full un subidised cost? It will suck for alot of people if they cant buy the 3g iphone cause there line is not available for updates do to the 2 year wait. Also any word on if the touches will have a price cut. I cant see people paying $299 for an 8gb touch when they can get an iphone for $199
