Gigaware adapter brings HD Radio to iPod touch and iPhone for $80 {Engadget}
Nov 9th 2009 9:26PM Why on earth would you want to tag a song for, what I think you mean because Windows Media Player doesn't have a music store, the Zune Marketplace when you are on an iPhone/iPod Touch? I guess since they sync so magnificently with the software. Anyway, like was already said, Zune has had the ability to tag songs on the radio for over a year and WinMo devices had Shazam long before the iPhone/iPod Touch had it that tagged songs/ringtones for purchase on the device.

I'm sure by steal he meant download. Which technically is not stealing since in most cases you pay for the licenses to play the game. As long as you have the proof of purchase or product key it doesn't matter where you get the installer from.
Microsoft's MSN Direct service to shut down in 2012 {Engadget}
Oct 28th 2009 7:24PM MSN Music was abandoned for Zune which they seem to be keeping a good hold on. I think integration with Xbox proves that Microsoft is serious about the Zune service and it isn't going away because we all know the Xbox isn't going away. The PlaysForSure support for Zune was probably beyond their control seeing as the content owners want all the money they can get.
I think it's good they are discontinuing a couple of things that aren't very popular. They are stretched way too thin and can't be the do everything company anymore. Especially with the FCC and EU on their asses all the time. It also means they will focus more on their popular things, like the OS's and hardware they own.

Because they are free. A lot of free apps from the iTunes App Store have ads in them to and they are far more annoying. I'd rather have a short ad when I launch an app as opposed to one at the bottom of the screen the whole time the app is open. I see more and more of those on my friends iPod Touchs and iPhones.
Zune HD stops syncing playcounts with nary a firmware fix in sight {Engadget}
Oct 27th 2009 5:10PM I'm glad they got it out before the November update. That way it can be out in the while for a while, they can catch things like this, fix it and by the time all the good stuff comes out (apps, more movies and tv shows) there won't be a lot of bugs crawling around.
I've seen all the TV shows in the marketplace when they were updating the site for 4.0. They took them down by the time they finished I assume they are setting them up for the Nov update since anything you buy will available on Zune and Xbox.

Oct 27th 2009 5:05PM I agree with Bobo. I use the Zune Pass to it's fullest and think the playcounts are important. I also just like knowing how much I listen to. It's not the most important thing but it's cool to just know. I just wish they would do like last.fm and show everything. I know they have it!
