Apple posts Leopard Graphics Update {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Feb 11th 2008 7:42PM If you just let it do it's thing it reboots twice on its own during the install. For all users who have yet to update - don't touch your computer during the process! Just let it do it's thing! :-)

AppleScript: build a simple task launcher {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Feb 3rd 2008 8:59AM Back in the day (on the Mac) when entire programs were smaller (in bytes) than the size of the icons for apps are today I wrote a little utility that did exactly this. It's so funny to see all these types of ideas from years past resurfacing in new ways. Back in the day I called them "Launch Boxes" - a play on words since they were like a "lunch box" - a collection of apps or documents - that would launch. It's alot easier these days for the average user to implement these types of useful utilities though! Good work!

Cocktail Tiger edition goes to 4.0.1, Leopard edition 4.0.2 {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Jan 27th 2008 8:12PM It would be so nice if the developers would just merge the versions into a single UNIVERSAL version of Cocktail and just have it do the right thing dependent on what OS it is running under. This is not difficult to implement and it is the main reason I choose not to use this program.

Nokia, like Apple, will seek its slice of the revenue sharing pie {Engadget Mobile}

Dec 11th 2007 1:10PM Regular software updates add value. How many software updates does Motorola release for handsets? How easy are they to apply?

You don't have to be a fan "of the deal" as long as you're happy with what you pay for the phone - outright and monthly. If you feel you're getting a deal, then great. If not, then buy something else.

iPhone hacked to control Pro Tools {Engadget Mobile}

Dec 11th 2007 1:05PM All of these "Control" apps are nice hacks but rarely are any of them practical. Bottom line - no one - NO ONE - that owns Pro Tools is going to have any need for this - they have REAL control surfaces.

Aug 30th 2007 11:54AM The iPhone "will have" 3G someday too.

iPhoneSIMfree announces availability of iPhone unlock within 3 days {Engadget Mobile}

Aug 29th 2007 9:10AM Is it just me or do all these "me too" unlocking schemes that "will be available in mere hours" sound like total crap? Oh yea, I have a scheme too and I will release it in...oh...let's say 3 and a half hours.

iPhone software unlock promised within 48 hours {Engadget Mobile}

Aug 22nd 2007 2:25PM Their web site sounds either like 13 year olds are in charge, they have a bad command of English or they are shady. Or all three!

iPhones automatically updated with "Send to Web Gallery" feature {Engadget Mobile}

Aug 8th 2007 8:40AM Now all Apple needs to do is lock down photo sync (so you can't) then force us to have a .Mac account @ $99/year and then charge us 25 cents each to send our pictures to the web gallery and they'll be just like Verizon! ;-)
