You are absolutely right. They have spent all their resources on making their handsets look OK, only to fail to progress with the software, features and interface. In the meantime, competitors borrow Moto's designs and make a much better, more useful device.
Moto's standard OS is a terrible, clunky, convoluting beast, and their displays are, at best, basic. Don't even get me started on the quality of their built in cameras...I cannot believe they are still using VGA resolution sensors. I know a camera isn't the be all and end all of a phone, but jeez..VGA went out with the Ark!!

Nov 12th 2007 10:16AM I think it's fair to say, and I think many will agree, the iPhone DOES have a good screen, if nothing else. I played with one for a few minutes at launch in the UK (but didn't buy) and I found the touch controls to be very responsive and the screen to be nice and bright with good resolution. Although I can't and shouldn't compare a few minutes of play with long term ownership and use.

Oct 1st 2007 9:45AM Yes, Windows Mobile is quite buggy, but there is a huge community of users out there fixing bugs and sharing the results. Granted, they shouldn't have to fix the problems themselves, but there you go.
So maybe i'm wrong about the hard drive thing. Consider me told!

Your comments are correct.
But I'm not really complaining as such, more making an observation.
I just feel it's simply a shame that Apple has brought out this glorious looking touch screen iPod, and not given it the storage modern consumers (some, not all) desire.
I'm sure Apple have their reasons for not offering more storage, but surely they could round it up to 20Gb. It certainly SOUNDS better at least!
