As the 3G iPhone draws near, what's your plan of attack? {Engadget}

May 14th 2008 10:55PM Never got one primarily because it doesn't have 3G and told people they were nuts for not waiting.
We'll getting one for my wife. She'll find it an improvement over PalmOS. But I'll stick to my WinMo device, at least until I see how much I like her new 3G iPhone and/or see how the iphone 2.0 software and app development pan out. I may switch yet.

Survey finds Apple users have sense of superiority -- no wait, hear us out {Engadget}

Jan 17th 2008 2:55PM All this concludes is that a lot of the people who attended Macworld were Apple fan boys and weren't afraid to express it. It's self serving. That's pretty much it.
I don't think they'd be so liberal, expressive, and superior at an XBOX convention.

Nothing monumental here.

Dear Palm: It's time for an intervention {Engadget}

Aug 21st 2007 2:10PM Harsh, but I can't disagree. The Treo 750 is a great device, but it was hard to settle with it's features from the 8525. Now with kaiser coming out, I can no longer settle with 2 years ago hardware, and neither will 'the average' guy (as I recognize I'm an early adopter.)

Palm, you have 1 good year left in you the way I see it, otherwise you'll be in such bad financial trouble it'll be too late to turn around. Just like SGI who was screwing around with supercomputers while the industry created cheap computers that did what they did at 1/4 the cost.

Drop some projects and send those resources to the drawing board and come up with a new killer new device. Keep those things that have been so successful (the keyboard for example) even if it becomes a slider or whatever, you know how to make keys.
And like RIM, find a way to come out with new models (eventually) every few months even if they change only 1 small feature.

Stick with the colors, it's a huge selling point.

Please, please, do something drastic, or we'll all have to buy imports.

Giveaway: have an iPhone on us! {Engadget}

Jun 30th 2007 5:45AM I look most forward to watching a movie on it. I have a Blackberry for work now, so I don't need my personal phone to be a PDA any longer. The iPhone will make a great "normal" phone as my personal phone.

iPhone activations hosed until morning? {Engadget Mobile}

Jun 30th 2007 5:32AM You don't have to deactivate your existing SIM. You can just take out the pre-installed SIM, and replace it with your current active SIM. Then just activate it on iTunes.

Not much going on at San Fran's Apple Store {Engadget Mobile}

Jun 29th 2007 12:16AM Seriously there's no reason to wait in line. I bet by 3pm there will be a line. People just aren't gullible enough to camp out for something that isn't in short supply.
The only reason to camp is if there are far too few to go around, and they expect to have enough for a majority of the people that want one.

Or maybe a lot of people aren't stupid enough to buy it on day 1, and they're going to wait and see for a few days first.

They will sell a lot of them, they will sell out, but a most people will get one.
