How would you change the Palm Pre? {Engadget}

Jul 4th 2009 12:15AM After using my Pre for a month (and returning it today), I only have 2 words for you, Palm:

1) GSM
2) Unlocked

Do it (with qua-band EDGE and tri-band HSPA, 850/1900/2100) and I'm willing to shell $600 for one today!

Oh and if you feel like adding auto-focus to the camera and more apps in the catalog, that's icing on the cake...

Are you listening?

Nokia, Apple, RIM and others agree on micro-USB phone charger standard for Europe {Engadget Mobile}

Jun 29th 2009 5:43PM Notes:
- This has been floating around for a while
- No mention of HTC, who really likes its Ext-USB (mini USB + audio) connector
- Mention of Apple, who really likes its iPod connector

Samsung's 12 megapixel M8910 Pixon12 cellphone tries to make your camera obsolete {Engadget}

Jun 26th 2009 12:38PM Having used its predecessor - the 8 megapixel Samsung Memoir - extensively for several months, and considering how good the Memoir's pictures are for a cameraphone, I think this 12 megapixel model is going to impress.

Some pictures form the memoir (click on "All sizes" for original):

Nokia N97 review: a tale of two bloggers {Engadget}

Jun 22nd 2009 4:06PM @Thomas Ricker I'm currently reviewing the N97 as well (I'm in the US but the unit I'm using is a white European model like yours)...

The problem you were having with the Facebook widget in your video is that you have to press the "Done" button (bottom right of screen) after adding/moving a widget before you can press the "Login" button on the Facebook widget!

The problem you were having answering the call is that you have to swipe your finger in the direction of the "Answer" arrow. Or just simply press the green/answer key below the screen.

Yes, it's quirky - welcome to S60. In fact, it's annoying - and I'm a long-time S60 user :)

But I'm more on @Chris Ziegler side here.

BTW, here's another similar and interesting opinion video on the N97: http://thereallymobileproject.com/2009/06/nokia-n97-the-definitive-verdict-maybe/
