HP Mini 311 set for spec bump, Windows 7 Professional {Engadget}
Oct 12th 2009 8:55PM So what's the consensus here? I was _this_ close to buying a 311 this morning, but now I feel like waiting. I don't really care about Windows 7 as I have an MSDN subscription, but the full blown ION makes me want to wait. Which would be a better buy: current model, or new model with full ION and W7 premium? I wanted to stay under $500, which with the N280, N wireless and Bluetooth was about what I was going to have to pay.
Problem seems that something new is always going to be right around the corner.
HP Mini 311 set for spec bump, Windows 7 Professional {Engadget}
Oct 12th 2009 4:51PM Based on HP's 9/15 press release, the Windows 7 model should be available for order on 10/18. I would think that would be a good time to release these updates. http://www.hp.com/hpinfo/newsroom/press/2009/090915xb.html

ASUS Eee PC 1005HA hands-on and impressions {Engadget}
Jun 23rd 2009 11:03AM I actually pre-ordered the 1005HA, but I can't decide if I should cancel it. I have a Dell D420 with a 12" 1200x800 display, 1.2Ghz Core Duo ULV processor, 2 GB Ram, and 80GB 4200rmp hard drive. The Dell runs Windows 7 like a champ, but something makes me want the EEE...
