DS Daily: What could be manlier, Contra 4 or Metal Slug 7? {DS Fanboy}

Aug 13th 2008 9:17AM I don't know about Contra 4 but I bought Metal Slug 7 when I was in Tokyo a couple of weeks ago and that mother is tough! A macho beast if ever there was one, unless you use all 9 credits in easy mode, in which case you'll complete it in no time. If you do that you're just not macho enough!

Rumor: Mario Kart Wii may also be plagued by disc read errors {Joystiq}

Apr 14th 2008 4:48AM My UK PAL copy of Mario Kart Wii suffers occasional disc read errors. Sometimes it won't load at all. Sometimes it stops reading the disc in the middle of a game and the game cuts out to a 'unable to read disc' screen. That said, once it does get running it's usually fine. I've played it for 3 hours straight on two occasions over the weekend with no problems.

No idea if that relates to SSBB problems though as we haven't even been graced with that on these shores yet!

O2 UK kicks off EDGE upgrade {Engadget Mobile}

Sep 7th 2007 5:29PM O2 is by far the least advanced network in the UK so, iPhone or not, it's good for their customers that they're installing it.

The timing fits the expected iPhone launch plans for Europe so it certainly adds credence to the 'O2 for the UK' rumours. Looks like we're not getting a 3G phone then!
