LG Decoy now available from Verizon {Engadget Mobile}

Jun 16th 2008 11:31PM WTF are you smoking? This looks nothing like the N95!

Thin is in: LG shares a glimpse of its 5 megapixel hottie phone {Engadget Mobile}

Apr 7th 2008 7:15PM Finally! LG has gone back to using a capacitive touch screen. Oh and yes I know this is true because I spoke to someone who's company made the capacitive screen for the Prada and he mentioned this was their next project.

Alltel chimes in on the Glimmer: March 13 for $250 {Engadget Mobile}

Mar 12th 2008 11:46AM What a stupid comment! In order to be an iPhone clone you would have to make it to mimic the iPhone design and functions. Just because it has a touchscreen interface doesn't make it an iPhone clone. If anything it's more like the Voyager than anything, which is derived from the Prada, which was introduced and released before the iPhone. I for one like this design way more than the Voyager design. You can use full QWERTY on the touch and still have a regular set of keys for everything else. Oh, and before anyone starts thinking I'm an Apple hater, I am typing this on my Mac and I had the iPhone for about a month until I gave it up and went with a regular phone and an iPod Touch.

Apple store down, again {Engadget}

Feb 19th 2008 10:34AM It's definitely not about HD-DVD drives since the format war is now officially over. Maybe Blu-Ray?

Hands-on with Verizon's new fall lineup {Engadget Mobile}

Oct 3rd 2007 10:32AM Why does everyone think that everything need to be compared to the iPhone? Do you really think that LG gives a crap about the iPhone? Who cares if they sold over a million units??? What LG wants is marketshare! Apple is no threat to them right now! Who they need to focus on is Samsung, Motorola, and Nokia! Those guys sell more handsets than Apple can even begin to think about!!! Sure the iPhone is cool, I really think it's an amazing device, but when it comes down to it what matters to these companies is how many TOTAL units they can move. If they can put out 3 devices to beat out one device then you've got an iPhone killer, at least in their mind. I know I would rather have 4 phones that sell over 2 million units rather than one phone selling 1 million units. Oh, and give LG credit for at least being innovative enough to step in and give a solution for the people who rely on Verizons service where it may be better than AT&T, and I know it's different depending on where you are. And it also gives the people an option for better messaging capabilities. Apple received its praise for its innovative OS. I personally think if these 2 companies got together they would have an awesome phone having some of the best designs and software.

LG's VX10000 and VX8800 touchscreen spyshots? {Engadget Mobile}

Sep 5th 2007 10:54AM The vx10k looks freaking sweet!!! And with MobileTV too! I wish the vx8800 would've been the PRADA variant or the KS20 instead though. Just a little disappointed on that one.

Meanwhile, at the other carriers' stores... {Engadget Mobile}

Jun 29th 2007 7:38PM Wow, engadget sure has some serious apple fanboys working for them trying to make it seem worse than it really is. I was just in the mall and the Verizon kiosk was swamped, as usual, and while the Apple store had a line of about 20 people waiting for the iPhone, AT&T was dead except for the 2 people waiting in line. I mean, apple makes some neat stuff, but this iphone is way too overhyped for what it is. Apple makes some great products, my girlfriend has a mac and an ipod, but even I wasn't impressed with them when it came down to comparing the products to similarly priced products. The same will happen with the iphone. If anything they are excellent at marketing there stuff.

AT&T to add unlimited family messaging {Engadget Mobile}

Jun 13th 2007 4:28AM First of all I the Verizon plan is still better because it only adds 20 a month to the plan instead of 30. Second, your upgrade qualification on Verizon doesn't get affected by changing plans. And third, at least Verizon has an early upgrade program if you want a new phone sooner. Oh, and I have Verizon, Sprint and AT&T so don't think I'm just trying to defend Verizon on this one.

AT&T to add unlimited family messaging {Engadget Mobile}

Jun 13th 2007 4:16AM I have both carriers because of my job but the Verizon version is still better even if you have to extend your contract. It is $20 more a month versus $30 if you look at it which adds up to $120 in savings a year.

iPhone release date confirmed: yours on June 29th {Engadget Mobile}

Jun 4th 2007 10:53AM Honestly I would have rather Apple had made a PDA like this rather than a phone. I would rather get it without a contract and use the PIM capabilities. Dialing and texting with a touch pad like that is going to be far inferior to actual buttons. And with Wi-Fi it would be a great device.
