Apple's App Store crosses the 1.5 billion download mark
Yes, it seems like only yesterday (or about 3 months ago) that Apple crossed a landmark -- 1 billion apps downloaded from its App Store -- and here we are again. Apple's just issued a press release stating that it's now seen another half a billion apps downloaded in about three months -- putting them over the 1.5 billion mark. Apple doesn't get all the kudos to themselves, though: after all, someone's been downloading The Moron Test. A lot.

They should just say "billions and billions served."

That's an astronomical amount :-)

Honestly, not sure how most of these apps are even on the top 25, so many apps are just junk, and useless. Wish Apple would bring back the Free category like it had when AppStore first released. It's a paint digging through al these useless $0.99 apps, which have like 20 other multiples (there's gotta be a dating app for every ethnicity, an app for almost all the major colleges >.>)

My iPhone's app store has the free category. Yours must be broken.

1.5 billion divide by 365 days and you can see that is sure a lot of downloads per day! Who is doing that much download? Anyone wants to guess?
