Keepin' it real fake, part CCXVII: Not even Obama can sell us on BlockBerry

The ad reads: "Obama have BlackBerry, I have BlockBerry." BlockBerry, of course, being haff-cmm's Huawei K3-based WinMo 6.1 handset. This Storm 9500 KIRF packs a 460MHZ processor, a 3.2-inch touchscreen, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, and supports 3G and EDGE. Some people's audacity, it seems, knows no limits.

LisaGee @ Jun 18th 2009 11:55AM
maybe they meant that Barak is as real as the BlockBerry
Anders @ Jun 18th 2009 12:03PM
OMG! Obama has a Blockberry?! I so wantz one!
The Fuzz 53 @ Jun 18th 2009 12:03PM
In other words, it has features that not even the real Storm has, aka Wi-Fi.
Thanks VERIZON, I LOVE YOU SO MUCH you fucking pricks.
HotNightHounds @ Jun 18th 2009 10:38PM
Hey, guess what, douchebag? RIM made the phone. RIM decided what went into the CDMA versions. Every CDMA 9530 is exactly the same. Verizon had nothing to do with how the phone was equipped.
Jamar @ Jun 21st 2009 1:17AM
Um, yeah, they do. The Verizon UI, for instance. Arbitrary Bluetooth restrictions, for another. Still pissed over that.
Alexandicity @ Jun 18th 2009 12:54PM
Heh, I kinda want one of these over my Storm. TouchFlo? WiFi? An email client that doesn't require BIS/BES?
PeterB @ Jun 18th 2009 2:41PM
Trust me, after using a pile of winmo phones, email that uses BES/BIS is a godsend compared to the mess that is Win-Mo.
Fronc @ Jun 18th 2009 1:02PM
HAHAHA they even tried to rip you off on windows mobile "6.1.5" haha
"Wow, a blackberry with winmo 6.5! Amazing"
derX @ Jun 18th 2009 1:05PM
Oooh, a 3.2" Touch Lens. Not sure what the hell one would do with a touch lens, but I think I need one. Wish the phone had a touch screen though. Oh well, I'm content as long as it's running windows mobile 6.1.5.
Chinahandyman @ Jun 18th 2009 3:28PM
I live in Shanghai right now and these fake phones are great! They sell everywhere here for about 700-1000RMB, which is somewhere around 100US$, depending on the fakes quality.
kevin @ Jun 18th 2009 4:12PM
Where can I get one of these?!?!?
i'm serious
JOHNd @ Jun 19th 2009 6:06AM
try sites like dealextreme.com and uxcell.com
compwhiz212 @ Jun 18th 2009 6:17PM
They should have named it the BarackBerry. Then it would have sold.
Douglas @ Jun 18th 2009 9:31PM
This is definitely the funniest KIRF to date.
Mobile Developer @ Jun 27th 2009 1:03AM
I think that windows mobile 6.5 on a blackberry device would be a huge help and likely sell very well.
