The Palm news just
keeps coming today. Looks like Centro successor
Eos might be coming sooner than expected, with this purported AT&T slide listing a second half 2009 ship date, along with a "new Palm OS experience" tagline that we're gonna take to mean
webOS for now (still no 100% confirmation, unfortunately), all the specs listed were the same as we heard before: 2.63-inch, 320 x 400 capacitive touchscreen, 4GB storage, POP3, IMAP, and EAS support, integrated IM client, Bluetooth 2.1, A-GPS, and a sexy thin and light form factor. Keep an eye out for this one, we think it might go places.

Wait AT&T has a IMPS server for windows live messenger? (totally unrelated to the post, but it's something interesting to me)

For comparison sake, the Nokia E71 is 114 x 57 x 10 mm and has a 2.36 inch screen.
How did Palm fit a 2.63 inch screen in a device that isn't as wide (55 mm vs 57 mm) and isn't as tall (111 mm vs 114 mm)?
People complained the keyboard on the E71 is too small, how small will the keyboard on this thing be?
Disclosure: I own a Nokia E71 and love it.

Something about this seems to scream "photoshop"
Plus, considering the Pre doesn't even support Live Messenger or Yahoo Messenger, it seems strange it'd debut in their low-class device.

O.o The image font on http://www.engadget.com/2009/05/24/palm-eos-on-track-for-atandt-release-second-half-of-2009/ is different, yet the same article, lol

It's AT&T MediaNet that supports Yahoo and Live Messenger, not the phone itself If Sprint supported it, it would be on the Pre too.

Actually AT&T's IM client comes standard on all devices and does support AIM, Yahoo, and Windows Live. It is a standalone app that uses SMS messages for IM.

That's because it IS a photoshop.
This Eos hasn't been built yet (at least I would be willing to bet). Carriers often will get artistic mockups (read: photoshops) from manufacturers for their material.

Something about this is still fishy. An internal slide would not normally have a PRICE when launch is so far off. While a Palm webOS device will likely come to AT&T, something about this one smells fishy.

And what about WLAN??
